Luxe Lineup: Thom Browne fall/winter 26/27
Thom Browne continues to surprise and shock with the brand’s signature blazers, sweaters, and pleats in what can only be described as a “weird” interpretation.
Thom Browne thrives on exaggerated silhouettes and unexpected campy accessories. This collection of course followed the same pattern with designs inspired by moody Americana and noir mixed with the designer’s love for playful whimsy.
The signature Thom Browne prep aesthetic was still present with this collection in pleated skirts and blazers paired with tube socks and rectangle glasses, but with unexpected elements of blazers being worn as skirts, winter scenes depicted on jackets, and the all grey collection consisting of plaid, houndstooth, and pinstripes all styled together.
The show provided a nice contrast to the recent menswear show which was inspired by the children’s film, A Bug’s Life, by truly giving the feeling of two different seasons; one warm and one bleak.
The designs featured a fair amount of very wearable pieces for day-to-day while staying true to the brand’s playful aesthetic. Because of the uniqueness of the collection and the success of the interpretation, this collection earns the rank of opulent allure.
