Futurist: AI Sleek, Stylish and On-The-Go: The New Loomos AI Glasses

Coming home from a long, hard day at work can feel like finally being able to breathe again. This is part of the vision that the company Loomos has for our very near future. In January of 2025, Kickstarter buzzed with their announcement to release a new design for AI, a wearable and hidden in plain sight. Their Everyday AI Smart Glasses are the answer to the common issues faced with popular AI products that we are familiar with today; clunky looks and interactions, slow response time, and a short battery life are all problems that can make wearable AI a burden instead of something that adds more ease to our day. 

Sleek and shiny black, with perfectly sized frames, the AI glasses, despite all their additional inclusions, could easily be mistaken as a normal pair of fashionable glasses. When you hold the Loomos Everyday AI Glasses in your hand, the first thing you’ll notice is how lightweight they are; only weighing in at 49 grams with flexible hinges that could adjust to fit any face, Loomos wanted to design their pair of glasses to be something practical as well as something you’d want to wear - something that won’t get in your way and wouldn’t feel unnatural to put on and feel comfortable enough to keep on throughout your day. 

Its simple appearance and lightweight design are balanced by its variety of features. From the largest battery on the market (a 450 mAh, three times larger than any other battery on the market) that will deliver up to forty hours of life, to HI-Fi open-ear audio for easy access to music and phone calls (no ear buds necessary), to the world’s first 16 MP camera on glasses, Loomos crafted these glasses with intention to be a form of AI that can be seamlessly and subtly integrated into your daily life. 

Its camera can capture images in 4K and 1080 P videos, and record a maximum of five minutes in one single take. However, this is only the most basic of what it can do; since the glasses are powered by ChatGPT-4o and a Unisoc 4-core 2.0 GHz AI processor, a simple “Hey Loomos” can give you access to features such as: free accurate language translation of foreign newspapers, signs, or subtitles; the ability to suggest recipes from a simple image capture of leftover ingredients in your fridge; the ability to record conversations, music or clips at your whim; and the glasses can even capture those clunky slides filled with information in your back-to-back meeting to summarize key points to you later on.
